Kandahar is a Malayalam-language Movie directed by Major Ravi and Produced by Sunil Nair under the banner Zoe Estebe Moviez Pvt. Ltd. and Mohanlal under Pranavam Arts International. The movie will be releasing in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi simulatenously.
In Kandahar Lead role is played by Mohanlal, Amitabh Bachchan, Ganesh Venkatraman, Ragini Dwivedi and Ananya. It is the first Malayalam movie starring Amitabh Bachchan. This is the second time Mohanlal and Amitabh Bachchan are pairing together after the box office disaster ‘Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag’.
The sound recording of this movie is done by Dr. Resul Pookutty. The story of this movie is based on the hijack of the Indian Airlines flight no. 814.
The Kandahar Malayalam Movie is released on 16 December 2010 in 111 theaters in Kerala alone, 9 theaters in Bengaluru, 5 theaters in Chennai, around 18 theaters in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Hyderabad.
