Verdict: A beautiful little film, and a rare film, that carries neither rebellion nor revolution in its heart, but honor.

        Early on in Udaan, the two close buddies, Rohan (Mr. Barmecha) and Maninder (Mr. Singh) share a private moment within the woods of Shimla. It is a moment given to silence, moments you remember crystal clear years after. Rohan lets out a little poem, and Maninder listens. The poems ends, the silence continues. A moment of uncomfortable silence within a moment of comfortable silence. Beat. Beat. Beat. This is the exact kind of sequence where you want the filmmaking to pause, and let the scene live and breathe on its own. A still frame, just reflecting. Udaan doesn’t do that, and instead causes a little edit for every beat. In that little moment, you feel the filmmaking is intruding, is making itself felt rather than leaving us alone with it. To create such a moment filled not with melodrama, but naked emotions tells you this is a film given to compassion, to specifics, to life. And to intrude it tells you it is aware of the little nuances of a moment, and it feels the need to convey every little aspect of it.
        Rohan and Maninder have been expelled from their prestigious boarding school, courtesy a late night run-off session at the local sleazy theatre with Kanti Shah’s Angoor. Rohan, with his big black trunk, finds himself in Jamshedpur, his old house, and his dad’s house. The house has stairs, and after having spent eight years in the boarding school, Rohan pulls that big black trunk of his up those stairs. We all know how heavy luggage feels like, especially when directed upwards, and Udaan feels the pain when he pulls it up the first flight. It cuts. To him pulling on the second flight. Is the moment undermined, or is the film just doesn’t have the heart to watch the whole thing. I don’t know, but I guess you got to be tough to pull your stuff, however high that might be. Such questions are repeated, throughout the film, slowly peeling layers off it.
        Udaan is a story of such moments, tender moments, sweet moments, dramatic moments, moments that are wondering if they’ve been scripted out of movies or reality, moments that plain break your heart. And moments filled with such claustrophobic frustration you want to just punch your way through the screen into its world and bang the hell out of its obstinacy only to realize that it is not. Obstinate. Much later into the movie, Rohan tries to start his father’s rickety old Contessa Classic, that first dud out of Hindustan Motors, and it doesn’t. He tries, he tries again, and he tries again. Often, in such situations, where a piece of machinery doesn’t follow your commands, a certain stubbornness takes over your self. You just want to bend the machine. He starts, and he starts, and it doesn’t. He just picks up a rod and beats it mercilessly. In there, within that moment, you want to grab a rod too, and beat the hell out of it. The glass sure does break, but does the car? The narrative suggests, through a cop, that it is better if a new car is bought. I don’t know if the suggestion was in light of it being a Contessa, but I felt the car stand quite resolutely. The glass breaks, sure, a few dents, sure, but is it the scene of total destruction/annihilation one desires? Or is it like banging your head against a wall in total disgust? I saw the car stand there, made of iron. I think that little moment, ever so subtly, serves as a synecdoche to Rohan’s life.
        My brother would often remark that Contessa Classic was a poor man’s version of that first Mercedes Benz’s car we saw in India. I don’t remember the name, but to the eyes of an impressionable little kid it felt true. Forgive me my silly prejudices. And supply me the name of that Merc. And if my brother was true, it has to be one of my earliest trysts with pretension. That Contessa is owned by Bhairav Singh (Mr. Roy), and the broad royal framework of the car is just the choice for the man. He is best described as, well, let us just say he worships patriarchy. He is tough. Raises his kids tough. Wakes them up in the morning. Compels them to jog with him, while he jogs chest held high. He smokes, and he drinks. He wears black sunglasses that accentuate his stern look. You might believe this is a completely masculine world, where even the most fleeting appearance of sentiment might be struck down and ridiculed as weakness and feminine. Gender bias is a given just as day and night are. Several films run through your mind. All those films which had the same basic desire at their heart – to be deemed worthy in the eyes of the patriarch.
        I think, deep down, Udaan starts along the same lines too. There’s a little kid on the house, Rohan’s younger brother Arjun, barely six years old, and he is given no special treatment either, the wisdom of the house being that if you’re born with your own set of angoor, you better be prepared to be rough and tough, and walk around like an archetypical definition of a male. Udaan intrudes this little world, not merely as a voyeur, but as a perspective of the son, the perspective of the guarded. It sure doesn’t leave any room for us to attach our observations on the poetries and ironies of life. We are, by intercutting, by over-the-shoulder shots made aware that what goes around comes around, and what comes around goes around. You are a child, sure son, but to someone, you are a guardian. There is a little movie in there, yeah, but then little Arjun is so tiny and so innocent your heart completely breaks for him.
        Traditional movie wisdom teaches us that stern fathers are most typically gels on the inside, waiting to be discovered. That’s romanticism for you. Rohan thinks so too. And he stays there silently and honorably protesting, caged by honor, to peel it all away and discover his father. Ah, honor! Father! Such magical words for a son. Honor might be the most noble of all masculine emotions. You might love or hate your son, or your father, but deep down honor guides your actions towards them. In art, sure, because in life too. That romantic notion that sons grow up to be their fathers is because that honor plants the seed of respect. You want to be deemed honorable too, and your heart desires that respect. That honor is what Rohan seeks, and Udaan is a beautiful film not because it has it all pre-figured, but because Rohan realizes the truth, moment by moment, much later than we in the audience have realized (probably because our old man is not on the screen but at home), that his little journey is not a road to discovery but a gradual path to realization. You should experience it.
        My friend reminded of another movie, incidentally set in Bihar (this one is set in Jharkhand), where there is absolute absence of women. That was Matrubhoomi. In Udaan there’s no mother in the house, and for that matter there are no women in the film. Oh, but that doesn’t mean there’s absence of the feminine, or sole prevalence of the masculine. There’s a moment towards the end when Rohan, deciding to leave the house, runs away while his father chasing him. It is almost a thrilling chase sequence. But it isn’t the final shot. Because running is not supposed to. Not in my eyes. And the film surprised me, and pleased me how it ended. With an action infinitely more honorable than running away, and an idea placed within Bhairav’s brain. I tell you, you would be pleased too.

Stargate Universe No (Season 3)

There will be no season 3 for Stargate Universe… SyFy has indeed canceled the show: the remaining episodes of season 2 of SGU will be aired, but don’t expect a third season.
SGU is a great show, I’m really disappointed by SyFy’s decision… I guess they prefer to focus on those stupid reality shows and those awful B movies rather than being creative… Thumb down for SyFy!

Mini-Review:
What the promos for "Death Race 2" don't really tell you is that this is a prequel. It shows how the Death Race was created. It started as a simple hand-to-hand combat game to generate money for the failing Weyland Corporation then was broadened to the full fledged race we see later on. In some respects making a prequel works and in other respects it doesn't. On the down side we don't even see the actual Death Race until well into the second half of the film. It's only then that you get the movie as advertised. But on the positive side, the final 15 minutes of the film have a plot twist that makes you go "Ah-ha! So that's where they're going with this!" That payoff makes the movie a bit more worthwhile. I can't discuss it here without spoiling the movie, but suffice it to say it thoroughly ties this movie in with the 2008 "Death Race."

Beyond the prequel twist, "Death Race 2" doesn't have a lot new to offer. It still has testosterone overloaded fights, big car chases, sexy women (are there no ugly female prisoners?), and gory deaths. It's more of the same from the first which is either a good thing or a bad thing considering what you thought of "Death Race." This is a straight-to-DVD release, but I have to say that I think it would have performed well in theaters. I don't know why they didn't release it there. A lot worse movies have appeared on the big screen than "Death Race 2."

Luke Goss is the lead in the film as Carl 'Luke' Lucas. His role is a lot like Jason Statham's in the previous film. He's a noble soul stuck in the prison who happens to be a good driver and is screwed over by the corrupt prison system. The only difference this round is that he actually did what he was thrown in jail for. He's an honest-to-goodness bad guy. Goss does a fine job with what he's given and he comes across as Paul Walker's older brother or something. Supporting him in the film are Ving Rhames as Weyland, Sean Bean as Markus Kane, and Danny Trejo as Goldberg. These are all fine actors and it's kind of sad to see them in a straight-to-video film, but I suppose if it was good enough for Joan Allen in the first film, it's good enough for them.

If you liked the first "Death Race," then I think you'll find "Death Race 2" somewhat worth checking out. It will feel pretty redundant up until the final twist, but stick with it. If you didn't see the first film or didn't like it, then this is an obvious 'pass' for you.

You'll find your standard bonus features on the Blu-ray. There are deleted scenes, featurettes on the stunts and cars, and a commentary. There's also a featurette on 'The Evolution of the Death Race.' And if you buy the Blu-ray, you also get a copy of the DVD and a digital copy for portable devices.

Review: Dhobi Ghat - Officail

Dhobi Ghat is the story of 4 characters: Arun, the famous lonely painter (Aamir), Munna, the dhobi who wants to be a star (Prateik), Shai, the banker on a sabbatical in India (Monica) and Yasmin, the recently married Muslim girl who records her life in Mumbai for her brother back home (Kriti). They say that Mumbai is the fifth character in the movie, and if so, I found it to be a silent character, an immovable witness to the harmony and turmoil in which the characters function simultaneously. Much like the aunty in Arun's neighbouring apartment: always there, always seeing everything, but always silent. Not sure if that was a parallel that Kiran had in mind, but it seemed relevant to me.


The movie is a piece of their lives, and the narrative juggles a recent past and the present time beautifully. Among the daily routine of the characters, which is really what the story is about, we see a love story unfolding and it's not a love triangle but a love square. With a missing fourth connecting line. I swear I'm not trying to sound cryptic, but it's so charming to watch this play out that I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

So maybe I won't tell the story after all...

But I will highlight the three superstars of this movie, and neither of their names start with two Aa's.

First of all KIRAN RAO.

Tiny little thing, with such a big heart! And this picture captures everything that is adorable about her! But I won't ramble about that now. I had no doubt that she would make a good movie, I knew it would be a well thought out story. What I didn't know was that she would wow me with the little touches like a bunch of fake grapes hanging from the rear view mirror in a car during the monsoon, which is the opening shot of the film. Or the chance encounter between Shai and Arun in the street when Shai is on her way to literally stalk Arun in his apartment which is so subtle and funny in so many ways. Or the painting that Arun makes towards the end of the film (who made that? I want it!). Or the old neighbour sitting in her chair with a vacant look - the most powerful image in the whole movie in my opinion. Or Munna leaning over Shai when she's asleep. Or the women on the train that Yasmin is filming. I could go on... but then I'd just be telling the whole movie. Suffice to say that every single shot in this movie tells a story, every image counts, and that is no small feat for a first time director.

When I heard that Dhobi Ghat was being filmed guerrilla style, with handheld cameras and moving shots, I was a bit terrified, because there's a right way to do this, but mostly I've seen it done the wrong way. Kiran, thankfully, got it right and I cannot praise her enough for this!

Secondly PRATEIK (BABBAR).

 At the end of the screening when Aamir gave the mic to each of the actors to say a few words, before Prateik even touched the mic he got a long, loud, standing ovation from the audience. He was so shocked and overwhelmed that he literally was speechless. He tried to mumble a thank you to Kiran and I bet he would have had some very heartfelt words to say, but he was so choked up that he didn't manage to put two words together. It was beyond charming!!

Well, he stole the show, it's no secret. He had the audience's emotions in the palm of his hand: when he wanted us to laugh at his shyness, we did; when he wanted us to bite our fingers for his next move, we did; when he wanted us to be in love with him, we were; when he wanted us to pine with him, we did. An outstanding performance if I've ever seen one! Between Kiran's deeply intelligent script and Prateik's immensely intuitive acting, there was not much room for it to get better. 

And still it did, because then there's...


THE STORY.

It's been said enough times by now that this is not a Bollywood story. But I don't think that stops it from being an Indian story, and if Bollywood continues to do stories like this, then I am on board with this new wave of what Cameron Bailey reluctantly jokingly calls "hindie movies". In a way I can't help but compare Dhobi Ghat to Slumdog Millionaire because they both show various aspects of poverty in Mumbai. But Dhobi Ghat succeeds for me where Slumdog somewhat failed because it shows me the little things that make one happy despite the poverty, unlike Slumdog which was always focused on wanting more. Munna has his own world with its ups and downs, with things that make him sad and things that make him smile, but his life does not revolve around poverty, his life revolves around his feelings, as it should.

And I know I tend to talk more about Munna than about everyone else because he was the star of the show for me, followed closely by Yasmin's story, but make no mistake, this movie is about all four of them in equal measure. More importantly, this is a story about people. It's not about lessons learned or growing up, it's not about relationships created or maintained, it's not about finding yourself, it's not about careers or hobbies. It's just a series of snapshots of 4 people... living. And while that can sound boring, it's really not, because the film is so well crafted that much like in real life when someone is telling a good story, you keep asking: "and then what?"

And lastly AAMIR KHAN.

Without presuming to know what's really in this man's head, I will say that I think I know why Aamir so badly wanted to be in this movie instead of letting Kiran pick another fresh face. In a world where Om Shanti Om, Ghajini and 3 Idiots are blockbusters, a soulful movie like Kiran's would have probably gone unnoticed had it not been for the presence of her superstar husband. Sad, but true... At the same time, I appreciated that Aamir played the part in such a subtle way that, much like in Taare Zameen Par, Aamir The Actor was rightfully overshadowed by his costar and by the director. I know he could have made this his movie, but there's a reason why he didn't, there's a reason why he played the part that many other actors could have played without making it an Aamir exclusive role, and I like to think that generosity and love are that reason.

I won't give a rating to this movie because as I said, Dolce was left at home (actually I suspect she was one of the people who mobbed Aamir on the street there and then she probably snuck into the theatre and saw the movie anyway), but I will say: don't miss this when it comes out in theatres!

Plot Summary: Indie veteran Gregg Araki returns to the spotlight with "Kaboom," a hyper-stylized "Twin Peaks" for the Coachella Generation, featuring a gorgeous, super-hot young cast. Plot Summary: "From Prada to Nada" is a new romantic comedy starring Camilla Belle, Alexa Vega, Wilmer Valderrama, Kuno Becker and Academy Award nominee Adriana Barraza. It's a whimsical fish-out-of-water story of two spoiled sisters: Nora (Camilla Belle), a law student, and Mary (Alexa Vega), an undergrad party girl, living with their father in a luxurious mansion in Beverly Hills. Mary has become so "90210" she refuses to admit she is of Mexican decent. When dad suddenly passes away, their posh lives are turned upside down. They discover they have been left penniless and are forced to move into their estranged aunt Aurelia's (Adriana Barraza) modest but lively home in the Latino-centric Boyle Heights neighborhood of East LA. They are terrified to leave their world of privilege; neither Nora nor Mary speak Spanish or have ever had to take on actual responsibility. Kavalan Movie Review: Kavalan is a remake of Malayalam film ‘bodyguard and has nothing to do with the movie, Kevin Costner. I really don't think Mother Gothica is really up to par with the magnificent Dr. Facilier.. I think she's kinda like Queen Narrisa from Enchanted.. infact the voices somewhat sound the same. I will give it points on Flynn being yet another step up in Disney men and Rapunzle isn't too bad, just well.. she acts a bit like Charlotte from PATF. I doubt the new marketing will really bring in boys and releasing it on Nov 24..um HP7 Comes out on Nov 19.. do they really want a repeat of last year.



I'm really excited! I feel like this will be another Little mermaid.
Not only does it have a new animation style but it will make the male and female roles equal. TLM made the female have a personality, I admit the male had a personality in Aladdin but then the female was lost. Also, Mother Gothel looks like an evil version of my favorite teacher.

['Jersey Shore' - 'Where's the Beach?']

I'm writing this from my hotel room at DisneyWorld, and being here all day made me realize one thing ... there are lots of people fatter than me. Then it made me realize something entirely different ... the Jersey shore is DisneyWorld for douchebags.

When some chick wins a wet t-shirt contest, and the local radio shock jock says, "You just won Miss Wet T-shirt, Yonkers! What are you going to do now?", she answers with a Patrón-soaked, "I'm going to the Jersey shore."

When a greasy bro wins a dance-off after taking off his vest and flossing his crotch with it, and the cop arresting him for lewd behavior asks him what he's going to do next, you know, after a night in the drunk tank, he arrogantly replies, "I'm going down the shore" to the guy brazenly taking a dump next to him in the cell.

It's no wonder MTV decided to air a special Monday episode of 'Jersey Shore,' to inspire us all toward new peaks of idiocy and debauchery, and to help us all cope with the new Zodiac sign and all its profoundly life-changing implications.

The tide had finally turned for Sammi and Ronnie, which means Sammi's distrust of Ronnie was quickly surpassing her hatred for Snooki, and she resented Ronnie for turning them against each other. So much for Sammi and Ronnie providing an emotional center for the show. Ronnie flipped his lid and told her to do what she had to do ... which is, most likely, some sort of exotic waxing.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen Snooki was perpetually hammered and eating a raw potato for everyone's general amusement, and somehow her, "Say you're stuck in the cornfields" defense of the odd behavior made sense, because if you're stuck in the cornfields with Snooki you will certainly pray for a potato to eat to distract you from her unholy manner and odor.

It's old news that Deena wants Mike. Hell, it's old news that Deena wants a milkshake, so to help Deena get with Mike, Snooki offers herself to sweeten the deal only to pull the old "let's have a threesome until I get disoriented and go to a different room, leaving you with my friend who is obsessed with you" switcheroo. Mike was not impressed. Deena's just not a holiday that The Situation observes. The whole scenario was "like havin' chicken put on the table, with salt and pepper, then somebody takes away the chicken, and you're left with salt and pepper." So, in this equation, Snooki is the chicken?! I would think that taking Snooki out of any equation other than a piranha attack was a good thing.

In her haste to unite Mike and Deena, Snooki bee-lined it for Vinny, but Vinny turned her down because he didn't want to take advantage of a sloppy Snooki. Just think how many men would still be virgins if they shared similar standards. Ultimately, Vinny does care about Snooki, when she simply wishes he'd "Stop caring and f@#k me." Hear that young girls? Words to eventually hate yourself by.

Pauly and Snook headed out for some well earned GTL. Snooki at the gym is like a muppet in a trucker hat -- you have to keep looking at her to make sure she's real, and even after an hour, you're still not sure. After they squabbled over who has darker skin, or oranger skin, they worked their way back to the topic of Sammi, and it was apparent that Snooki had yet to write her off completely, like Jenni.

Sammi needed to put Miami behind her and get out of her own head. She just couldn't trust Ronnie anymore, even if he hadn't done anything. At the beginning of this season, they were like the old married couple, but now they're showing their youth, having the "skeleton in the closet" talk. Ronnie's defensive attitude didn't help assuage the tension, and his analogy didn't help much either: "I need a mind condom because I'm being mind-f@#ked." So, if Ronnie has a condom on his mind, and he's being mind-f@#ked by Sammi, how did Ronnie get chlamydia?

Ronnie then went out to punch his problems with Mike. They both agreed that Sammi was the impetus of the problem, and that when Mike asked him, "You know what I mean?" he did, in fact, know what he meant. Everyone knows what you mean, Michael! You don't have to continually check to see if we're keeping up with your train of thought. We know what you mean when you say everything.

Sammi, Pauly and Snook went to "work." The whole work thing is already wearing pretty thin. It just makes everyone look even more shallow than they already are, always complaining about going to "work" at a t-shirt shop for what is most likely an hour a week. Sammi finally apologized to Snooki, realizing that what Snooki had been telling her was true, and that she was looking out for her best interest, Sammi just didn't want to hear it at the time. It was damn near genuine.

Then it was Deena's turn on the Sammi Apology Tour, which is only going to make things a different kind of awkward, because there's no tour stop lined up for Jenni, and now Deena and Snooki had to figure out how to break the news to Jenni. She would not be so forgiving.

Once again, it was t-shirt time at Karma, and someone needs to start sounding a trumpet to commence the endless primping. Pauly was so bold as to say "My prediction is somebody needs to carry her (Deena) out of the club tonight." Gutsy call, Pauly. Next, are you going to predict that girls are awesome? That would both shock and impress us all. Even though Deena's best thing was dancing, she was just sloppy enough to get booted from the bar within ten minutes of getting there.

They were trying to develop this whole Jenni relationship angle with random aggravating phone calls to Tom and running into her ex, Roger, at the club only to land upstairs with Snooki, peeing on the floor behind the bar. There's just too much going on for anyone, Jenni included, to care about someone who's not on the show. I don't even care about the people on the show, let alone someone sitting at home waiting for someone from the show to call him.

"DTF-O-Meters" were spiking all night as Vinny getting some, begat The Situation scoring, begat Pauly passing out due to lack of interest from his "lady" friend. They all took turns watching Ronnie parlay a mound of frozen turkey burgers into a scrumptious late-night snack. This was possibly a sign of things to come with the newly freed Ronnie, now he's back with the boys.

Snooki's epic drunkenness really held the show together. It all kept coming back to Snooki being a puddle. She went to work in the same dress she wore out the night before, and went to get shots under the guise of a coffee break at ten in the morning. She has a lot of old school, Ruthie from 'The Real World: Hawaii' in her, drinking and annoying others-wise. She did make a good point to her boss, however, stating that "This isn't like law school, this is a t-shirt shop."

The perfect storm was indeed brewing as Jenni and Deena went out to get some hangover coffees. They were bound to run into Snooki at a bar -- that's just the law of averages -- but Snooki was too far gone for even the girls to deal with. The beach suddenly caught her fancy, and the girls made valiant efforts to keep her out of her own, and harm's, way. But alas, to no avail. After a faceplant in the sand, the cops came to escort Snooki off the beach, a gesture that Snooki took offense to, landing her in jail, wher we can only hope she stays for the rest of the season.

It was the Very Special Episode that Jersey Shore watchers have been waiting for since the reports last summer of a certain Nicole Polizzi being arrested for public intoxication. Given Snooki’s tendency to be publicly drunk throughout the show’s two-plus seasons, the question remained: just how much more drunk did she have to get to finally be arrested for it? The answer: Considerably so. It seems the inability to stand played a large part in her detainment. Also all the swearing at the cops. We’ll get to that in a bit, but first, the rest of the episode, presented with themed quotes:
“I need a mind condom. I’m being mind [BLEEP]ed.”
Sage words from young Ronnie, who as the episode begins is bewildered by Sammi’s sudden insistence that he confess to her what he has “done.” Ronnie, having dutifully sat in the bedroom with her for most of the time since their arrival at Seaside, is rather puzzled by this demand. They get into a large, loud screaming match — actually, it’s only Ronnie doing the screaming — but the end result of it all is that Sammi has had a revelation: Snooki and Jenni were right to have warned her about Ronnie’s cheating ways, way back in Miami. So, to sum up: when Ronnie WAS cheating on her, Sammi was mad at her friends for telling her, but now that he is NOT cheating on her, she is mad at him and grateful to them. Sammi: possibly insane.
“Just break the [BLEEP] the up and call it a day.”
Mike utters the words that millions of people have been hollering at their televisions for some time now. Ronnie and Sammi keep declaring that they love each other, but all the evidence suggests they don’t even like each other all that much. And despite the big fight, neither seems inclined to break it off.
“I owe you an apology”
Sammi tells Snooki that she realizes her friends were only looking out for her, and she’s sorry to have not believed them. (This in itself is a bit odd, because Ronnie confessed to having messed around on her. She already knew the girls were telling the truth.) Anyway, Snooki accepts the apology, which is followed by Deena and Sammi also mending fences. Notably, Sammi does not apologize to Jenni. “I think she’s scared of you,” Snooki tells Jenni. “I would be too,” Jenni says. For the record, I also would be scared of her. Girl can throw a punch.
“Obviously being together is unhealthy. But maybe being unhealthy makes us stronger.”
Ronnie offers possibly the worst assessment of a relationship ever. Paging Dr. Phil! To Seaside Heights, stat!
“This is called rock bottom.”
Danny, owner of the T-shirt shop, assesses Snooki’s state when, after a long night of partying, she spends her time at the shop trying to steal beers from the fridge. She says she needs a coffee, but instead finds a bar where she does some shots and gets an order of deep-fried pickles. BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS. Deena and Jenni happen by — they actually are getting coffee — and find Snooki coaching an older couple into doing shots off of each other. They take this as a troubling sign. “She’s on a 24-hour binger,” Jenni observes. It’s probably more like a 72-hour binger, to be honest, but point taken.
“There’s no controlling that 4-foot-9 girl.”
Snooki, now obscenely drunk, suddenly darts from the bar and heads for the beach. It is literally about 20 feet from where she was sitting, but she runs off in search of it, leading to scene in which she runs along the boardwalk — which is RIGHT ALONGSIDE THE BEACH — and asks people for directions to the beach. It turns out Danny was wrong: THIS is rock bottom. Deena and Jenni trail frantically as Snooki finally finds the beach, then falls flat on her face in the sand. The girls try to drag her away, but she keeps flopping on the sand. Police take notice. Jenni warns her that she will be arrested if she keeps this up and lo, it comes to pass. The police who help her off the beach might have left it at that, but Snooki curses like a sailor at them, and they decide to take her to the drunk tank. “She’s drunk and disorderly. She’s causing a scene,” one of the officers advises Jenni. No one can
